I too need a replacement cord. Anyone know where to but them? Actually just the plug needs to be replaced, but I’m having a hard time finding that online too. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey, my friend’s chi straightener is not working. Its not warming up at all. I checked it and found that the current is reaching till the chip but still its not warming up. Is there a problem in my chip? If yes, where can I get a new one and for how much cost?

Hi. On numerous occasions, my wife has burned the cord to her Chi flat iron, to the point where you can see bare wire in several places. I want to replace the cord, and your disassembly pictures will be my go-by. Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement cord? Thanks – Glenn (gmakl@comcast.net)

Thank so much. I chi stoped working this morning. With the help of this posting I was able to take it apart and look for any problems. The only problems I seen was it needed to be cleaned after doing so it worked. Thank you so much. This saved me alot of $.

Hey there, i just need clarification on the positive and negative wires. My girlfriend broke the switch and i fixed that thanks to you. However now shes having trouble with connectivity. I brushed the contacts and reformed them to fit tighter around the drum contacts but it still would flicker on and off. So i snipped the cords at each end one night and left the soldering for the morning. Bad idea, ive completely forgotten which wires are positive and which ate negative. Help?

My GFCI power cord won’t reset (which I would think means there is a short somewhere in the GFCI circuit). I am not getting any voltage at the output of the circuit. It appears that there is a transformer in the plug – what is the input voltage for the CHI? Has anyone found a place to buy replacement cords?
